This is a recipe that requires the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker

Ingredients

  • Pork Shoulder
  • 2 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground mustard
  • 1 tsp onion salt
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp celery seed
  • half a cup of brown sugar
  • chicken stock

Method

  1. Mix all of the spices and sugar to create a dry rub.
  2. Trim the fat from the pork, it won’t be required during the cooking process
  3. Apply the rub to the meat
  4. Set the Instant Pot to the saute setting, when it displays ‘HOT’ add some oil
  5. Sear each side of the meat for 3 mins
  6. Add the chicken stock, use it to scrape off the sides of the pot
  7. Seal the Instant Pot, Saute -> Keep Warm/Cancel -> Meat/Stew for 90 minutes
  8. After 90 minutes is done wait for an additional 10 minutes
